Chair cushions are those that consist of 2 pad cushions, one for the back and another for the base. They are joined together with a fabric hinge made from the same fabric as the cushion itself. Typically chair cushions are 5cm thick however can be as thin as 3m. We would suggest the cushion is no thicker than 7cm as it can reduce the seat size

  • STEP 2: CHOOSE YOUR PIPING

    What is piping: Piping on a cushion is the thin fabric tubing that goes around the edges of the cushions. Piping is somewhat like a fine/small pipe that is around all the joins/ edges. It can provide a premium look and can be made in difference colours to provide a contrast. If that seems daunting you may like to know that most cushions use the same fabric on the piping as they do for the cushion.

  • STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR FILLS

    Please select your filling.
    This is a no brainer, we don’t charge extra for quick drying foam so we’d suggest you pick it. Regular foam
    tends to go mouldy if it gets wet and isn’t in the sunlight. Quick drying foam is open cell foam allows the water
    to pass through quickly.
    Furniture Foam: High density comfortable furniture foam for alfresco or indoor cushions.
    Quick Dry Foam: Quick dry outdoor foam for an all-weather cushion.

  • STEP 4: CHOOSE YOUR TIES

    Please select whether you would like ties or not.
    Ties are recommended as it keeps the chair cushion in place and prevents the cushion from moving. If you select ties then your cushions will have 4 ties points in total, at the top and at the seat base.

    Pro Tip: 5cm is by far the most popular thickness for this type of cushion. Normally they can be as thin as 3cm and up to 7cm thick.

How to measure for Chair Cushions

No skill is required to measure up for chair cushions, it’s simple.

  1. Measure the width of the inside section of the chair where the cushion will. For example: if it is 522mm enter  52.2cm
  2. Measure the length of the back cushion and base cushion combined. For example: the back cushion is 50cm and the base cushion is 45cm then enter it as 95cm.
  3. Confirm how thick you would like the cushion.
